| The Magic Elf What is The Magic Elf? A "magic" Santa doll with 25 messages about the meaning of Christmas. How does The Magic Elf work? Each night from December 1st to December 25th, after the children fall asleep (and with the help of parents), The Magic Elf “wakes up to stretch his wings” and “hides” in a different spot around the house, holding a Christmas message in his hands. Each morning (with the excitement of an Easter egg hunt,) the children search the house for the Magic Elf and his message. What are The Magic Elf's messages? The Magic Elf’s twenty-five daily messages are intended to teach children about the Christmas celebration. They include an explanation of why the holiday is called Christmas, why gifts are exchanged, the story of the Nativity, and suggestions for teaching children about the spirit of Christmas (being kind, giving, neighborly, patient, thankful etc.) Why has The Magic Elf become a cherished tradition for so many families? “The Magic Elf offers children an opportunity to enjoy the excitement of Christmas while helping parents reinforce the more meaningful aspects of the holiday” says Nancy Vaughan of Rise and Shine Designs, Inc., creator of The Magic Elf. She adds, “The daily adventure of finding the Elf provides good old fashioned fun for the family and the chance to carve out a small window of time to be together in the busy days leading up to Christmas.” Order Now! The Legend of The Magic Elf One Christmas, long ago, Santa Claus was reading his mail. He loved getting letters from boys and girls around the world telling him all the wonderful things they had done during the year. But that year, he noticed that the letters had changed. The kids were demanding extravagant gifts with few manners and little mention of goodness. Santa was concerned. As much as Santa loved giving gifts...he didn't want Christmas to lose its real meaning. So Santa created a host of Magic Elves...all with snow white beards, stocking caps and twinkling eyes. He gave the Magic Elves wings, sprinkled them with magic dust and sent them on their way to help children learn the meaning of Christmas. |
